The therapy has given me the time to reflect and think back on what is exactly affecting my mood and emotions. Through it, I had gained greater self awareness.

I always felt trapped before I started therapy, it was me and my thoughts going in circles which eventually led to me not being able to sleep properly. But with therapy, I learnt methods on how to break the cycle, to breakdown my thoughts and to take a step back and analyse my emotions and what I felt. Going for sessions also meant I was no longer alone with my thoughts, I had someone to voice it out to and someone who was helping me overcome my problems. I gained hope from my sessions - hope that things would get better and that I would better understand the workings of my mind, along with it came assurance that I was not alone in this period. I gained new coping mechanisms which helped me on a day to day basis. I was equipped with methods to help me whenever I felt like I was regressing into my old skin again.

Psychotherapy has helped me gain a new perspective to my issues. I no longer see them as problems, but rather challenges that motivate me to find solutions to them. I have gained a new life through psychotherapy; I am a different person, for the better.

Therapy has helped me to see life clearer and understand it. It also has helped me unfold past events which aided me in understanding myself better. Positive thinking is important. And although I can't change the past, the future is mine to create. Therapy has helped me gain this perspective.

Key benefit is Sasha has helped me to organise my issues from “noise” - what I thought it is and what it really is. More importantly, not from his perspective but helping me to focus and distinguish them from my perspective. By saying Sasha has played a part in seeing what it is & can be, I am able to put my burden at one corner and be aware of it and describe it and not placing unnecessary feeling to my problem. That allows me to move on in life and I am able to lead a healthier life since.

Therapy has helped me to be more aware of my blind spots, and my triggers to negative emotions. This allowed me to practise taking a step back before I react. I gained new mental skills such as filtering what is important vs. not important, and then focusing energy to doing what is important. By focusing on what is important, positive energy is derived and it helps promote my overall well-being too. In my therapy sessions, Sasha’s ability to direct, point out and help me to be aware of what I am saying has made me more aware especially when practising self-talk to negate the negative thoughts.

Through hypnotherapy, I was able to see what I was feeling and thinking in an illustrated form. Not in words, but in the form of a scene. It helped me put into pictures (or a movie, if you would) how I felt, why I felt the way I did, and what I could do about it. Hypnotherapy really isn't what's portrayed in the movies - understanding the circumstances, theory and practice of the therapy is crucial to benefitting from it. The sessions concluded with me feeling confident that I have or will be able to find a solution to the difficulties I am facing.
